Gwynevere

We found out that Gwynevere has sagittal craniosynostosis at honestly her 2nd day of life. My twin sister’s oldest (8F) has it as well and it lead the nurses to check her right away. She had an X-Ray at less than a month old. Had a CT not long after that. She started helmet therapy even before getting her surgery. That way it could help with the bossing in the front. Felt honestly like a whirl wind. She had surgery endoscopically on September 30th. It was meant to be earlier but they wanted to wait tell her skull was harder. That way when they added the springs they had less of a chance of embedding. She was at the hospital for 4 days and was a little champ. She barely cried except for when her little room mate needed something. PICU was only over night. She had the springs until December 10th and in between this surgeries wore a helmet again. The spring removal was a same day procedure. She was mostly tired but didn’t need pain meds by the 3rd day. We had to wait a month after surgery for another helmet. She is now currently in her 3rd helmet. She will be 9 months old on Feb 20th. No one can really tell unless they see her two scars. She is my strong little cranio baby.
