INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING PRAYER CHAINS
We currently go through about 900-1500 ribbon links each month! If you would like to make some ribbons to include in our prayer chains, we would GREATLY appreciate it! The prayer chains are one of the most important peices of our care packages. Familys hang them on the babies crib or bed while at the hospital and is something they can cherish forever. Each prayer chain is made of about 15 ribbon links. Each link says something different from other cranio moms either scriptures, motivational sayings or just words of encouragement. Below are some of the says we put on the ribbon links. Feel free to use any of these or you can make your own! The ribbon is cut about every 8-9 inches long and we typically use ribbon that is less than 1.5 inches wide. If it’s too wide, its hard to make a nice loop. Writing on ribbons can be very challenging. Gel pens seem to work best on silk type ribbons and sharpies work on more rough materials. You may have to play around with certain pens till you find what works. =) You can make as many as you would like and mail in an envelope to us (message us for address) and we can assemble the prayer chains. Or you can assemble them…It’s 15 loops glued together. Just make sure each saying is different on a chain. =)
